Green Man –  is taking place on the weekend of the 15th – 18th August. Nestled in the heart of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons, Green Man boasts a wide range of entertainment including comedy, poetry, literature, spoken word, art and science. Green Man is a family friendly festival that makes the most of the amazing local produce and makes a good alternative to the mainstream music festival.

Longitude is set against the Dublin countryside in Marlay Park running from 19th – 21st July. No camping available at this festival but that just means you will get to explore the wonderful city of Dublin during your stay. Longitude festival is a steal with a day ticket priced at £46 and a weekend ticket at £126.

Pukkelpop is one of Belgium’s biggest festivals with over 200 acts performing on eight stages over a mid August weekend. Held in the Belgian town of Keiwit from 15th – 17th August, Pukkelpop is a festival for the music fanatics out there.  Running since 1985, Pukkelpop prides itself on its progressive music program, with its blend of unforgettable top acts and surprising new talent.

Vibes: “Year after year Pukkelpop’s international audience comes to Kiewit to listen to a combination of successful contemporary bands, living legends and the most visionary alternative acts from all nooks and crannies of the musical landscape.”

Hot Foot It

Soundwave is held in the picturesque town of Tisno in Croatia, situated right on the beach overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It’s the perfect place to soak up the sun whilst a full brass band provides the soundtrack. The festival boasts a very reasonable ticket price of £119 for a 5-day live music event-taking place from 18th-22nd July. This event is a popular choice for those partial to jazz, electronic and reggae with a bit of hip-hop thrown in for good measure.

Vertigo is Europe’s highest altitude summer music festival, taking place from the 15th-17th August. Situated in the heart of Italy’s Piedmont region lies the authentic alpine resort of Pragelato, home to one of the Winter Olympics most iconic ski jump venues. Boasting breath-taking panoramic views of the Italian Alps, Vertigo festival is the perfect environment to kick back and take in the fresh mountain air whilst enjoying the party.
